When emails were first introduced they were the most simple and efficient way to do business. Emails are neat, easy to file, easy to keep track of and reduced the use of paper. Email marketing was the most elegant, simple and efficient way to stay in touch. Like anything that is good, when you use it in the wrong way it can turn real bad real fast.

Double Opt-ins – A double opt-in email system ensures that your emails will get to the recipient. A double opt-in ensures that the person is giving their permission to send them your email. This reduces the risk of your emails being trashed before they ever get read. People always have the right to opt-out when they no longer wish to read your emails. By having a system you will be able to track those who are reading your message and those who are opting out. This will enable you to stay on top of the minds of your prospects and customers.

Voice Broadcasting – This tool has already been used through the use of the phone. Everyone has one at their desks or on them as a cell phone. People are constantly checking their cell phones for messages and updates. We are all used to hearing voices. The problem is that most voice communications is with people who we already have a relationship with. The best relationship is one in which we can connect the voice with a face. There are voice broadcasting tools that enable you to record your message through your voice and send them out in emails. This will help your prospect hear what you sound like and this makes a great first impression.

Voice Broadcasting is also a tool to build relationships with your prospects and existing clients. When it is used properly it should be the center of your “Stay-In-Touch” marketing plan. Wish your prospects or customers a Happy Birthday, Happy Holiday, or just about any holiday greeting.

The major rule is that once someone has called you and requested information, you have 90 days from that date to legally call them back, even if they are on the “Do Not Call List”. Once someone has done business with you, you have 18 months after that date during which you can follow up with them.

The most important reason why people will open your email is that you are giving them something that they want. and are interested in. When you give them what you promise your prospect will trust you. Once trust is established they will reward you with their loyalty. Many people go through great lengths to protect their email accounts from spam mail. There are spam protection tools to look for emails. An opt-in email is a must to ensure that your emails will be received and opened.

Creating a blog that has an opt-in email will ensure that your newsletters or marketing material will go through to your prospect. Your intended recipient will be able to read and view what you have sent making it a successful transfer of information. This is a great way to build your contact list.

How to Build Trust with your Emails

To build a good opt-in email list you need people to trust you. The quicker you are able to do this the quicker you can build your list. The quicker you build your list, the more traffic you generate. The more traffic you generate, the more profits you make. How do you get the numbers?

Trust – Getting your prospects trust needn’t be hard if you have a legitimate business. Getting your customers trust should be based upon your expertise. People rely on other people who know what they are talking about. Garner all the knowledge and information about your business. If you went into the business, you obviously had an interest in it. Write about your business!

Expertise – Show your prospects that you know what you are talking about. Provide them with helpful hints and guidelines that pertain to what you are selling. If you are selling green wellness products that you know they will benefit from provide them information on this. If you are a realtor, provide a list of your results of home that were sold by you in your blog. You do not have to be a huge corporation to make use of an opt-in list. If your customers, or prospects, see you as someone who knows what you are doing and saying, they will trust you quickly.

Truthful – Be true to your customers, if you want to hype up your products and services, provide guarantees. The more satisfied customers you get, the bigger probability there is that they will recommend you. Generally, people will trust someone they know, when that someone recommends you then you’re a shoo-in. They will go to your site and check it for themselves and be given a chance to experience what the other shave experienced from you, so make sure to be consistent in the service you provide.

Opt-out – Let your prospects know that they have the option to opt out of your email list at any time. Show them that you are not there to trap them. Include on your email form instructions on how to unsubscribe from the list. Guarantee them that they can let go of the service whenever they want to. Many are wary that they may be stuck for life and would have to abandon their email accounts when they get pestered with spam.

Remember that when you get the trust of your clients don’t lose that trust. Because if you do anything with their email addresses like sell them or give them out, you will lose many members of your list as well as potential prospects. The true quickest way to gain the trust of your subscribers is when you are recommended by someone they trust. Emails do work when done the right way, try them!
